The Crow’s Nest
The Crow’s Nest is open for the 2019 season. We’ve done our best to preserve the warm, inviting atmosphere that Pat Benton and her staff created, and have introduced a wide variety of items by a number of local and regional artists and craftspeople. Many are nature-themed or authentically Adirondack.
*Original paintings by Joann Quinlivan and Jeanne Dupre
*Earrings, necklaces, and stuffed critters by Romi Sebald
*Adirondack bird photo note cards by Glen Chapman
*Ceramic wildlife ornaments by Wayne Village Pottery
*Birch birdhouses by Maine Line Products

*Birch-framed mirrors and signs by Patrick Fitzgerald
*Nature-themed painted wine glasses by Annelies Taylor
*Metalwork lanterns and trivets by Sherfab Industries
*Wildlife coasters and magnets by Alyssa Watters
*Handcrafted wood cutting boards, tea light holders, and coasters by Mill One Eighteen

We’ve also responded to guests’ requests for laminated placemats of the maps that you find at your place setting in the Benton Dining Room; Hedges-branded thermal and ceramic mugs; maps, hiking trail and nature guides, and books. We’re featuring a revived Hedges logo on the t-shirts and sweatshirts, printed by Stacked Graphics in Tupper Lake. There is even a Hedges 2020 calendar with photos contributed by guests.
Posted throughout the shop are profile cards on these creative people that tell their stories. Stop by to browse and breathe in the scent of balsam!
